【Notice】Paper Request for The Conference on Taiwan Public Health History in the Last Century for Postgraduates

This conference attempts to draw Taiwanese and international graduate students’ (we also welcome graduated students with Master degree) attention to the studies of Taiwan history of public Health. Papers on the following themes are encouraged:

The establishment of Modern Nation and public health system;
The Japanese colonial rule and public health;
Infectious disease and public health; the development of health system;
From school to everyday life; the convergence and transformation of health system;
The public health development under the U.S. AID;
The establishment of the Department of Health and modern nation;
Globalization, emerging infectious diseases and public health system;
The changes of public health and medical technology

For papers both in English and Chinese, abstract proposals of approximately 1500-2000 words, along with the title of the paper and contact information, should be sent by e-mail to the contractor (pinwang@ntnu.edu.tw) before October 31, 2010. The E-mail title should be written as “Application for the Taiwan Public Health History in the Last Century for Postgraduates Conference” Notification of acceptance will be announced on November 5, 2010. Final papers (15000-20000 words) should be due on December 20, 2010. This conference would be hold in January 7-8, 2011, in Losheng Sanatorium (No.794, Zhongzheng Rd., Xinzhuang City, Taipei County 242, Taiwan ).
